| Description: | I am a writer of contemporary poetry. I was born in Birmingham in 1943. I read Law at Bristol University, followed by five years’ legal publishing experience. After a move to Yorkshire and a period of illness, I began to develop as a writer. For twenty years I co-ran The Poetry Business with Peter Sansom, editing and publishing Smith/Doorstop Books and The North magazine, and running Writing Days and the Writing School. Now retired, I spend my days learning how to do nothing. |
